Green happens to be my favorite color. Maybe that’s why I love photographing natural landscapes and trees. I took this photo while it was raining. The leaves were still crisp from a fresh rain. I love the way the photo fades to black and makes the green pop.

Lola Rain, The Artist
Oh Lola Rain! How I love thee! I don’t really know where to start because I feel like I have so much to say! I met Lola Rain about two years ago. We were both working in the same office (I’m still working there) and we could sense the need for a creative outlet from one another. We bonded over photography and began to model for one another. We would take day trips to Maine County and just photograph all day long. I wouldn’t be the same photographer without her. She really pushed me to get started and inspired me to start my own blog/business (I’m still working on the business part). Lola Moved 3,000 miles away from me but we still collaborate and inspire each other. The good thing about Lola moving away? Well, home girl has got it together! She got married and started her own photography business! Check out her blog, Etsy, Flickr account and become her fan on Facebook! Thanks for everything Lola Rain!
Here is some of Lola Rain's work...

Shades of Brown
Since yesterday I showed you all my favorite portraits I thought I’d show you my favorite photos from my last photo adventure. I was wondering around my boyfriend’s father’s property last weekend, camera in hand, and was looking for something to catch my eye. It had rained the previous day and I really wanted to find rain drops on leaves but didn’t really find anything. Instead, I found these. I loved the contrast of the shades of brown and the options of background choices. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

A Complete Project
OK, I'm a little proud of myself on this one. These bad boys took me a hell of a long time to make. I still have a few more that I'd like to make. A pair of glasses and an over sized pair of lips. I"ll get around to it! I do have pounds of felt.
Who's ready to pose with these?!?!

Happy December
Ah!! It's already December 1st?!? It happened so quickly. There is so much to do before the holidays. mainly making every one's gifts. Have you started your shopping/making yet? Well I have and I've decided to give you a little sneak peak. First, this is a hot plate that I made for my mom out of wine corks. Let's just say that between the two of us we drink a lot of wine.
I'm hoping to make a few coasters soon too, but I'm all out of corks! I've also been working on a little canvas/paint/magazine cut out/silhouette project. I kinda got the idea from a mix of things. I had posted a view examples in a previous post, so this is kinda the next step from that. I'm getting closer!!
And some magazine cut outs!!
And one ALMOST final gift. This one is for my brother.
I'm getting there! I figured I have plenty of time, right? With weekends and the occasional weeknight I think I'll be fine. Oh, and I can't forget, I'll also be giving some fine art photography as gifts!
