A Gift From Lover :)

Sometimes "just because" is the BEST reason to receive flowers. Maybe these beautiful roses will brighten up your Monday. :)

You Want Some?

No thanks, I'll pass! Here you see little Gianni and Toni playing at West Portal Park. There was a slight rain shower the night before and little Gianni (in his KISS t-shirt) got to the park and ran straight to the puddle in the corner of the sand box. He's a little monster I tell you! His sister, Toni, couldn't resist the attention and joined him in the puddle of fun. 30 minutes later you had two very unhappy, wet, whiny children.

Serena and Gia

About a month ago I took maternity portraits for my friend Serena. I've known Serena since we were kids and it was great to reconnect with her and give her something she will be able to share with her little one someday. :)

p.s.... Happy Birthday Serena!!

Engagement Session

Over the Summer I traveled to Connecticut to visit my friend Lola Rain. The purpose of this visit? Take AMAZING Engagement photos and attend her bridal shower and bachelorette party. What a trip! I came straight off the red eye, took a two hour nap and started on the engagement photos right away. The week I was there consisted of photo projects, baking and bridal errands. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! You can view even more of the engagement photos on my Flickr.

Kayla Wins!

Kayla Mahoney, America's Next Top Model

One day this woman is going to be a model or an actress. Live theatre is where I see her one day. Broadway? I think so! And I do see her at the ACT in SF one day. Homegirl gotta stay close to her roots! Can't you tell that she has it in her?

Introducing Lola Rain

Run Lola, Run!

Who is Lola Rain? How did our Universes collide? Well, by fate really. Lola Rain and I were introduced through family. We worked together in at an Investment Firm for a few years and slowly found out that we shared the same hobby, Photography! Lola and I went on several adventures together, many of which resulted in amazing photographs, this being one of them. Now, Lola has moved to the East Coast and left me without a photography buddy. :)

Lola Rain is pretty serious about her photography. She’s been doing it longer then I have and she really knows her stuff. She has a website, blog and an Etsy site! Show Lola some love.

Cupcakes and Sprinkles

Did I mention that I LOVE cupcakes? They are a passion of mine. I love to bake them but I love eating them even more. Unfortunately, this isn't a cupcake that I baked, this is from a bakery in Connecticut called Crumbs.  Don't you want to take a bite?

The Lady is a Vamp

Brenda the Vampire :)

This weekend I had a few girlfriends over, drank some white wine and played around with my Nikon D60. This is a result of those three things. Overall good time.

Low Tide

Portrait of Rachel at Sutro Baths San Francisco, CA

I have to say this is one of my favorite portraits. I've known Rachel since we were in kindergarten. We've stayed connected though the years and have always maintained our friendship. I feel like this photograph says a lot about her thoughts, feels and attitude towards life. Rachel has never been one to back down or let things slide. She's a strong independent woman ready for any obstacle that may come her way.

A Little About Me!

My name is Natalie. I'm a small town girl living in the big (well, really small) city. I adore cupcakes!
I get inspiration from the people and things around me. I love the randomness of life and how unexpectedly people and situations happen.  I admire the unexpected beauty in things. I feel like you can really capture an image in B&W. There is something pure and innocent to it, yet it leaves you open to possibilities. Architecture and landscapes tend to take my breath away. Puppies and animals are a weakness of mine. I enjoy photography because it’s lively and free. There are no rules, no limits and no boundaries.
