I don't know how to describe what I see in this other then "Spider Web." I recently spent some time in Ukiah up in the mountains. I ventured around the property with my camera not knowing what to expect. I hate the feeling that most of my photos just look like boring pictures of trees, like there is no depth to them or something to see. I found that this photo made me see something more then just branches. Tangled, intertwined with no direction or journey yet still so alive.

Happy Monday after Thanksgiving!
Well, well, well, another work week is upon me, and possibly you! I'll say, it’s hard to get up on a Monday morning after a blissful four days off. How was everyone else’s Thanksgiving? Mine was great! My sister made this delish, mouth watering brie with onion wrapped in puff pastry as an appetizer, UMMM SO GOOD. The turkey was cooked to a perfection thanks so my dad, and my mom and sister made amazing side dished like green bean casserole, Brussels sprout, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and stuffing. I had the pleasure of bringing over corn bread muffins. Desert? My sister made scrumptious pumpkin pie and my mom made the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had. It was a very Paula Deen Thanksgiving! All around a great meal with uncountable bottles of wine… some of us (just me) had a little too much!
The evening was followed by football watching, the best game in the world, Apples to Apples, and some Canasta. Oh, and a lot of Classic Rock followed by watching Mamma Mia while playing more Apples to Apples!
After Thanksgiving my boyfriend and I traveled to Mendocino County to visit his dad. I was able to work on a few art projects, mainly Christmas gifts and I ventured out with my camera! We also got the opportunity to watch a LOT of westerns… I’m talking about “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly”, “Maverick”, “Rio Bravo” and “The Searchers”. I LOVED “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” and I'm inspired to watch a few more Spaghetti Westerns. I just wish they weren’t so long! Westerns take a lot out of you but they are totally worth watching. Oh, and now I have this in my head from Rio Bravo..
This one too..
Oh my way to work this morning I couldn’t help but notice all the Christmas decorations. I walked into my office building and it was like Christmas decorations had taken over the lobby! I can only imagine the spectacle that is Union Square!
All around, great, relaxing Holiday weekend! I wasn’t able to upload my photos when I got home, so expect photos this week!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Happy Turkey Day everyone! I couldn't be more excited for a day with my family, good food, drinks and most importantly, football! If you are going shopping Black Friday I hope you rest up and wear comfortable shoes. If you are shopping online, have a nice cup of coco next to you and relax knowing you are avoiding the crowds and shopping in your PJ's.
I hope you all stuff yourselves silly and enjoy your holiday! Drink and be Merry!!

Hoilday Time!
Well the Holidays are here! Thanksgiving is on Thursday and the Christmas and New Years are right around the corner. This year I have decided that every one's present is going to be hand made. Well, pretty much everyone. What am I currently working on? Well, last year I bought about 7 pounds of felt and never used it. (I was going to make everyone IPhone covers..) So, this year I have all this felt and nothing to do with it! In October I went to my friends wedding in Vermont and she had these great props on sticks for her guests to take photos with. I decided that I could TOTALLY make those. Now, I'm in the middle of the process and this is what I got so far.
Everyone should be prepared for me to shove these in your face and take a million photos and then post them on my blog! :) Just warning you. And then I'll frame it and it will be your Christmas gift! hahaha...Another felt project? Well, I don't want to spoil any gift ideas, but I'm working with felt, paint, a canvas and magazine cut outs. Here is a little sneak peak..
Once Christmas has passed I'll post the end results. I might even get eager and just post them ahead of time. I'm sure my friends and family won't mind a preview to their gifts. Are you making anything for the holidays? Gifts? Decorations?
I can tell you that many night after work will be devoted to cutting felt. I'm looking forward to it. Oh, and if anyone needs some felt, I'm your girl!

Almost There!
This is one of the many photos I took of Rachel, Kendell, and little baby Bently. This was taken back in August and now Rachel is less then a month away from her due date! I'm wishing her all the best! An easy delivery (if that's even possible, I wouldn't know), a great birthing experience, and a beautiful healthy baby boy.

It's the Holiday Season!!
Thanksgiving is RIGHT around the corner! Then its Christmas and New Years! I love the holiday season. Great food and great company. For me, its a time to hang out with my family and my dogs! It's also a great time for holiday portraits! This portrait is of Leslie, Chris and their dog Millie. It turned out to be a great present for their parents. Photos make the best memories!

Roads Not Taken
I've always loved this photo. It makes me feel like Lola Rain is ready to runaway. She's out of breathe, mid thought contemplating her next move, only you can't see her expression so you have to read her body language. What do you see?

Nine to Five
I love working downtown! It's a great environment. Sure, sometimes it’s hard getting to and from work because Muni can’t function correctly, ever, but once you get down here it’s a nice place to be. When I first started working downtown I would walk around and see what my options where for lunch, outdoor lunch tables, where the nearest bank or post office was, nearest Walgreens etc.. but now I keep it pretty mellow. I’m getting the itch to maybe explore the other side of Market Street. Maybe I’ll get out of the FIDI and go to the SOMA… hummmm….
P.S. My post title refers to a Dolly Parton song/ movie. You should watch it. If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, shame on you.

The Lovely Kayla Mahoney. This photo was taken out by the Sound Organ in the Marina. Do you know where that is? Well, neither did I until Kayla and I ventured out there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the city. Thanks Kayla for always being your photogenic self. :)

Fun with Props!
At Alex and Alexa's wedding I was fortunate enough to be in charge of photographing guests with fun “mustache on a stick” and other “on a stick” props. Well, I had a lot of fun with it and I think everyone else did as well. Here are a very of the results! Enjoy :)

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Merrill
Congratulations Alex and Alexa!! I could not be happier for these two! Also could not be happier that I made it out to this magical wedding. I wasn’t allowed to us my flash during the ceremony (the real photographer scolded me for it) so the pictures are a little dark. I’ll say that the ceremony was very emotional. The Ceremony started with The Frames “Falling Slowly” and I INSTANTLY wept like a baby. I happen to know the connection they have with this song. From there on out it was all tears and hyperventilating for me. The vows were perfect and SOO Alex and Alexa. The ceremony was short and sweet and Alexa walked down the aisle to a Led Zeppelin song! How great is that?
After the Ceremony there was a cocktail hour when they went off to take phone and then off to the reception! I’d like to think I got a good photo of the two of them arriving to the reception.
The night way perfect! Great food and great company! Once again, Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Merrill! And thank you for having me and max!

Here Comes the Bride!
All Dressed in white! As I mentioned before, I was lucky enough to travel to Vermont for my friend’s wedding. One of my tasks? Help the Bride get ready and take a few getting ready photos. I only managed taking a few photos before the professional photographer came in. Here are a few of Alexa’s beautiful dress!
My favorite is probably the last one. Alexa's new niece Lila was the BEST flower girl. Ceremony pictures coming tomorrow! Oh, and did I mention that the Bride also has a blog? Check it out here!

Vermont in the Fall
I was lucky enough to travel to Vermont in October. My boyfriend and I were attending our friends Wedding (Wedding photos coming next week!). Needless to say, it was breath taking. I’m a California girl so I’ve never seen real seasons, particularly Fall. All the changing Fall colors on the trees, leaves on the ground, snow covered mountains, I was in heaven. I was preoccupied with wedding things, so I was only able to snap a few photos of the landscape. Here’s what I got. I love it. I wish San Francisco had a REAL Fall. I miss the changing colors.

2010 San Francisco Giants World Series Parade
That's right people. Unless you live in a hole, you should know that the San Francisco Giants have won the World Series. Well, they came home to a magical city with amazing fans ready to celebrate their win. The parade was OUT OF CONTROL. I mean, Montgomery Street has never been so alive. White and orange confetti was falling from the sky non-stop and the streets were painted orange and black. It was Magical. The city really came together. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day. More photos are available to view on my Flickr.

Oh, and one last note. I could NOT be happier that the parade went right in front of my office. I have never been more thankful to work on Montgomery Street. OHH and the highlight of the parade for me?!? Steve Perry! DUUHHH! If you don't know that I'm a Journey fan, you know now. :)
