Kay Bay

Kayla Kayla BoBayla booooo nana bo bayla, be my Molaya Kayla! Ok, I don’t know if that makes any sense whatsoever when I type that out, but it makes sense in my head and that’s all that matters. That song/rhyme thing reminds me of this photo of my friend Kayla. Kayla and I met our freshmen year of High School WAAAAY back in 2002! Since then the rest is history. Gosh, this makes me want to dig up some high school photos…. Um, maybe later.

Spider Webs

I don't know how to describe what I see in this other then "Spider Web." I recently spent some time in Ukiah up in the mountains. I ventured around the property with my camera not knowing what to expect. I hate the feeling that most of my photos just look like boring pictures of trees, like there is no depth to them or something to see. I found that this photo made me see something more then just branches. Tangled, intertwined with no direction or journey yet still so alive.

Nine to Five

I love working downtown! It's a great environment. Sure, sometimes it’s hard getting to and from work because Muni can’t function correctly, ever, but once you get down here it’s a nice place to be. When I first started working downtown I would walk around and see what my options where for lunch, outdoor lunch tables, where the nearest bank or post office was, nearest Walgreens etc.. but now I keep it pretty mellow. I’m getting the itch to maybe explore the other side of Market Street. Maybe I’ll get out of the FIDI and go to the SOMA…  hummmm….

P.S. My post title refers to a Dolly Parton song/ movie. You should watch it. If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, shame on you.

Sittin' On The Dock of the bay

The Lovely Kayla Mahoney. This photo was taken out by the Sound Organ in the Marina. Do you know where that is? Well, neither did I until Kayla and I ventured out there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the city. Thanks Kayla for always being your photogenic self. :)

Rusty Door

Lola Rain and the Rusty Door. This photograph was taken in the Marin Headlands. Lola Rain and I went on one of our many adventures and discovered the magic of the headlands. I've lived in San Francisco my entire life and I had never been to the headlands before this adventure. Little did I know what we would discover..

Introducing Lola Rain

Run Lola, Run!

Who is Lola Rain? How did our Universes collide? Well, by fate really. Lola Rain and I were introduced through family. We worked together in at an Investment Firm for a few years and slowly found out that we shared the same hobby, Photography! Lola and I went on several adventures together, many of which resulted in amazing photographs, this being one of them. Now, Lola has moved to the East Coast and left me without a photography buddy. :)

Lola Rain is pretty serious about her photography. She’s been doing it longer then I have and she really knows her stuff. She has a website, blog and an Etsy site! Show Lola some love.
